Chicks Still Rule
The Dixie Soul Collective delivered an outstanding show with every moment they spent on the stage. Their harmonious voices remain in perfect tune, sounding equally incredible live and in recordings. As both vocalists and musicians, they all excel in their craft. They performed a wonderful selection of tracks, blending old classics with newer hits. Notably, they paid homage to Prince with a rendition of Nothing Compares 2U and showcased a fantastic version of Beyonce's Daddy's Lesson from Lemonade. The excessive video display on the large screen may have seemed unnecessary to some, but it potentially added an extra layer of entertainment for those with ADD. Transitioning seamlessly from one song to the next, they kept the energy high throughout the two-hour concert, offering a pure Chicks experience.
